Summer for me equals food and wine events and outdoor concerts. Taking the time to stroll through an outdoor market meeting artists, sampling unique foods and tasting new wines.
Why I love festivals like these:They’re not just events—they’re experiences. They tell the story of a place through art, wine, music, and community… and they’re the perfect excuse to turn a weekend into a getaway.
Here are some U.S. art & wine & traditional festivals that are absolutely worth planning a trip around in 2026:
Albuquerque, NM | October 3-11
Albuquerque International balloon festival. This has been on my bucket list for years-the beauty of the balloons, the traditions since 1972-love all of it.
Ann Arbor, MI | July 16–18
Artists from all over the world, original work lining downtown streets, Michigan wines flowing, and a lively summer energy that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
Aspen, CO | June 19–21
An iconic weekend of wine, food, design, and culture—set against dramatic mountain views. Educational but never boring, elevated but still fun. Check out the participating celebrity chefs- quite the lineup.
Napa Valley, CA | July 4-19
Festival Napa Valley, presented by Napa Valley Association. a nonprofit with a mission to bring the arts to all through world class performances and art education programs.
Park City, UT | August 7-9
57th annual Kimball Arts Festival is one of the top ranked art festivals in the country. Discover artist demos, live performances, kids activities and local flavors.
