Choosing a Travel Agent Over AI

In a world where AI can plan your trip in seconds, it’s easy to wonder—do travel agents still matter?

AI is a fantastic tool. It can generate ideas, outline itineraries, and give you a quick snapshot of a destination. But travel isn’t just about information—it’s about experience. And that’s where a seasoned travel advisor makes all the difference.

Living in the wine country, I see this play out all the time.

When I meet visitors exploring Napa or Sonoma County, I often ask which wineries they’re visiting. Almost without fail, I hear the same names—the ones with the biggest marketing budgets, the most Instagram followers, and the easiest reservations to find online.

And while those wineries can be lovely, they’re often just the tip of the iceberg.

AI doesn’t know that you prefer a quiet, seated tasting over a busy tasting room. It doesn’t know you love bold reds but want to try something new. And it certainly doesn’t know which tucked-away vineyard will make you feel like you’ve discovered something truly special.

As a travel advisor, I take the time to understand how you like to travel—what excites you, what you want to avoid, and what kind of moments you’ll remember long after you return home. I don’t just book trips; I curate experiences.

And this is any destination-Europe, Asia, Africa...

AI can help you plan a trip. A travel advisor helps you experience it.
