What is my favorite travel destination

One of the questions I am often asked is, “What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled?” It sounds simple, but for someone who lives and breathes travel, it’s a little like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. Every destination has its own magic—the food, the culture, the people, or sometimes just the way a place makes you feel in the moment. Instead of narrowing it down to just one, I like to share a handful of favorites that have left a lasting impression on me for very different reasons.

Marrakesh, Morocco

Interesting enough this is one of my very favorite cities. The beauty, the history the Medinas, the food. One of my best friends in grade schools father was Moroccan, I grew up with lemon chicken, pastilla, lamb kabobs, couscous, mint tea...and I love all of it! But here is the interesting part-as much as I loved my stay it I don't need to go back.

Mallorca, Spain

I loved Mallorca so much that I could see spending a month there in my future. Of all the places I have traveled to, this is the one that was the easiest to navigate. We rented a car and found it so easy to get around to visit the different cities, quaint beach towns, beautiful beaches, cultural sites and wineries.

Croatia

Spectacular! This is by far my favorite experience. Seeing Croatia by private yacht made for such a memorable vacation. There is nothing like waking up your first day and seeing all of the other yachts also leaving the harbor to start their journey-magical. The private swim coves, the historical walled cities, the food, the wine and dining is so affordable.

Yosemite

I was blessed as a child to have parents that took us on adventures to most of our west coast State Parks. And to this day Yosemite is my absolute favorite. As soon as you drop into the Yosemite Valley you are mesmerized by the vastness, the beauty, the mountain air. If visiting California add this stop!

Other favorite cities-Paris (of course) Cinque Terra, San Gimignano, Kona...

Where is your next travel adventure?
